Summary: Utility Hub operates primarily on-device. Your documents, images, and tool files are processed locally. We do not sell your personal information.
1. Data Collection & Processing
Our app processes files and media locally on your device to perform utilities such as:
- PDF Tools & Document Viewers: Converting, merging, and viewing local documents.
- QR & Barcode Scanning: Reading barcode/QR data via the device camera.
- Sensors & Hardware Utilities: Reading accelerometer, magnetometer, decibel level, and battery status strictly on-device for live measurements.
- Online & Network Tools: Fetching real-time exchange rates for currency conversion, querying public product databases (OpenFoodFacts/UPC) for Product Barcode Scanning, and performing network speed tests / IP diagnostics. No user data is collected or saved during these API calls.
2. Third-Party Services & Advertising (Google AdMob)
We display banner advertisements provided by Google AdMob to keep our app free. Google AdMob may collect and process certain information, including:
- IP address & Device Identifiers (Advertising ID / GAID)
- Coarse location data for non-personalized or personalized ad serving
- Ad interaction and performance metrics

3. Permissions Required & Usage
- CAMERA: Required for scanning QR codes, barcodes, and using image capture utilities.
- RECORD_AUDIO: Required solely for the Decibel / Sound Meter tool to calculate audio intensity. Audio is processed strictly in real-time and is never recorded or transmitted.
- STORAGE & MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE: Required for reading and saving user-generated documents, images, and converted files on your local storage.
- INTERNET & ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Required to load banner ads (Google AdMob) and perform optional network diagnostics (e.g., speed test, public IP check).
4. Children's Privacy
Our application is intended for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under the age of 13.
